15 years after her first MIPJunior, Deirdre Brennan shares some of her adventures in the world of children’s broadcasting, on both sides of the pay wall. Following her move from the Australian Broadcasting Corporation in 2016 to join leading Canadian kids broadcaster Corus Entertainment,
she will share her perspective on the risks and opportunities facing the industry today, explore the role of Canadian production in the evolving business of kids entertainment…and raise some important questions around our responsibility to audiences of the future.
Prior to joining Corus, Deirdre was Head of Children’s Television, ABC TV with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, leading programming, acquisition and commissioning across Australia’s most successful children’s services – ABC KIDS, ABC3, iview and online.
